Description
If you want to develop a new service or product, whether it is for a corporate organization or your own venture (start-up), this course will help you to understand the process of innovation.
Based on the digital revolution trend and the opportunity to innovate in a “smart city” environment, this course stresses the importance of creativity, invention, and innovation. It provides coverage of both market-led de-mand-pull factors and innovation-push factors. Incorporating creative thinking and best practices in innovative “smart” product or service development, this training course will help learners understand how to create a new “smart” product or service development process and position it to gain a competitive advantage while developing during this course a real prototype.
By the end of this course, each learner will have generated tens of business ideas, selected the best ones, and developed the first version of the prototype of his/her preferred idea. Based on this achievement, the learner will then decide to either continue and write the business plan or start the process again to find a better potential business idea.
The delivery strategy for this course is based either on a blended learning approach or on a fully self-paced approach. This delivery will depend on the learning environment of the learner and his/her curriculum.
There are 2 delivery strategies based on the context:
- Learners can decide to follow the self-paced 12-week program with no additional guidance (the digital content provides clear weekly instructions), or
- The program can be completed by some sessions (1 to 3) delivered by a Professor from INREGU:
- The kick-off class is important to launch the program with clear instructions and expectations.
- A mid-program milestone could make sure the progress is as expected and challenges are managed.
- The course is completed by a Demo Day where all participants present their innovation and get their certificate.
